And The Winner Is......

For months now I have been trying to decide which preschool would be best for Shelby. Shelby currently gets therapy from four different therapists but they cant come after she turns three. We had two options to choose from. The first being with the district at Roy Elementary School. That would be 2 1/2 hours a day, four days a week. The second being Utah Schools for the Deaf and Blind. That would be 6 hours a day, four days a week. I was kinda leaning toward the USDB because they would really be able to focus on her vision needs but there was NO way I was going to have my three year old get on a bus, yes I said a bus, and leave me for 6 hours a day. So today we had a meeting with all of her therapists and people representing both schools (10 people in all) and talked over everything and I decided on the USDB. I will be taking and picking her up and she will be going 3 half days a week. I went to tour the school previously and it seems like a great school. The teacher was really nice. There is only 4 other kids in the class so thats a great class size. They have a indoor playground, swimming pool and lots of other neat resources to help these kids with disabilites. She will start on the 12th of February so wish us luck!

Hanging Out With Daddy

In the last few weeks while I have been gone the kids have really enjoyed playing with Tucker. He has got to see what it is like to fix dinner for himself and the kids, get them ready for bed, feed Keaton, entertain them and put them to sleep. Shelby is beginning to cross over to being a daddy's girl instead of such a major mommy's girl. I love it though! Tucker already has some serious plans for Keaton.... going to the cabin, supporting us in the NBA, snowmobiling etc. They are very cute together.

Tucker's cousins Michele and Woody gave Keaton and Shelby matching jammies with slippers for Christmas. I think they are adorable so I wanted to post a pic.

A week ago my friend Jana and her son Dax came to play at our house. It was really fun to watch them play together. I always enjoy seeing how kids interact with each other. They chased each other, carried around some purses and enjoyed playing in our messy playroom.

Shelby and Keaton love there baths. Keaton thinks he is pretty hot stuff sitting in his chair in the tub. Every morning Shelby will run into the bathroom and yell "TUBBY!" She does this all the time at Grandma Steeds (GeeGee's) house too. She will often have a bath there so she thinks she needs one every time we are over there.

One more week left of training. Thank goodness for that. Today I am taking actual calls so we will see how that goes......

Keaton is six months now(I know crazy!) so my sister and mom reminded me that I should probably start feeding him some cereal. Things were always off with Shelby so I dont really know what a normal baby schedule should be. So today I gave him some oatmeal. That stuff tastes gross. I dont blame him for being disgusted at first. He would purse his lips so tight that I couldnt give it to him but then he would smile and I would sneak some in. After the first 10 bites he realized that it was food, and we all know he LOVES his food, and he ate the whole thing! It was so cute to see him in the high chair. He looks so small in it. It is just so unbelievable that it has already been six months. I am also posting a picture of our cute house that we are renting. I will post some pics of the inside later.

Crazy Days!

This past week and a half has been CRAZY! It has been so hard moving and working 40 hours a week for this training. Thank goodness though we got out of our townhouse in time...barely. Then Tucker and his dad moved our stuff into the new house. On Sunday Tucker got most of it sorted out. It was stressing me out so bad to not know where anything was and for a few days I had to stay at my parents until he got our beds set up. That all equalled to no sleep for a week. Anyway, things are much better now and I still really like my training(The work, not the hours) I am surprised that there is so much to learn. Even at the hospital I didnt train this long.

Here is a cute pic of Shelby. She found this costume in one of our boxes and LOVED it!

First Day on the Job

Last Thursday and Friday I started my job at jetBlue. So far I think I am really going to like it and I KNOW I am going to like the benefits! They seem to have built a very good company. For anyone in Utah who has been looking for a work from home job this will probably be a good one. We also have been in the process of finding a place to live. We close tomorrow on our house and still have not moved one box out of our house. We have not been the smartest at planning out our house situation. So last night we finally figured it out and we will be renting a house in Roy. I hate to pay rent but it is at least a nice house. Hopefully in a few days we will be settled in our new house!
