San Diego

I finally was able to use my benefits from JetBlue and me, Shelby, Keaton and my mom flew to San Diego on Tuesday afternoon and got back Wednesday night. It was quite the adventure. I wasnt anticipating how hard it would be to carry two strollers, two suitcases, two carseats, two carry on's and oh yeah, two children. Once we got to our hotel it was great. After we got in, we stopped by Tucker's cousins house that live there. They were so nice and fed us a yummy dinner and Shelby loves playing with their daughter Samantha. We had a bit of a rough night when Shelby got sick and didnt sleep past about 2:00 am on. In the morning I took the kids for a beautiful walk along the ocean. While we were walking we saw a bunch of dolphins jumping out of the water.

We had a great time at Sea World. They have such cute shows there and I loved seeing all the animals. It is amazing how they train them. Shelby is so sensitive to light that she had a hard time opening her eyes to see anything but it got better as the day went on. She loved the Sea Lions the best. Keaton was so good. He was watching the shows, enjoying sitting up in the stroller. It was fun to have my mom there. I certainly dont know how I would do it by myself. We got in late Wednesday night. I must say it was a very good feeling not having to pay a dime for the flights!

Happy Easter

I love his hat, I thought it made his outfit.

Daddy and the kids

We had a great Easter this year. Shelby had the greatest time on her Easter egg hunt. She, of course, was terrified of the Easter bunny. So once she got past the fact that he wasnt actually AT the house he just left stuff for her she had a good time. The weather was so beautiful on Easter Sunday, it was perfect for Keaton's little outfit. We had an Easter egg hunt at my parents house the weekend before and it was snowy and cold so it was quite the difference. I will have to post pics of that when I get those cuz they were funny. My parents are so generous and put money in the eggs for and adult Easter egg hunt. My brother Tyler and Alison managed to walk away with $104 bones. Crazy! Grandma Steed came over the night before Easter and colored eggs with Shelby. She had so much fun dropping them into the dye and putting stickers on them.

Snuggles

One of the many things that I love about Shelby is that she loves to cuddle. Every night before bed she says "mommy or daddy snuggles." She wants us to lay down by her and cuddle. She doesnt care if it's for 1 minute or 10 minutes she just loves it. She loves to cuddle with Keaton too but he doesnt care for it as much....yet. She also loves to play "tent" with Tucker. They lay on the couch and he covers both of them with a blanket and play. It is so cute!!

Biker Girl

Shelby saw her bike in the garage yesterday and wanted to attempt riding it. She didnt quite get the whole concept of pedaling and steering but it sure was cute to watch! I seriously cant wait to get some more good weather becaue I love being outside. I took the kids to the park this week and Shelby had a blast. She loves watching other kids and trying to imitate them. She always makes me a little nervous though because she doesnt see holes or openings on the playgrounds. I can tell Keaton cant wait to be up there playing with her.

Keaterbug Laughing

video

Here is a cute video of Keaton laughing. An interesting follow up to my last post about Keaton is that on overwhelming number of people on babycenter guessed that he was a girl, I guess I will have to keep the poor lad in blue!

Cirque Dreams

Last night I went to an amazing show called Cirque Dreams. It's like a Cirque de Soleil type show. It was so INCREDIBLE. My dad had bought tickets to go with my mom but had to go out of town so my mom invited me. I have always wanted to see a show like this so it worked out very good in my favor. :) They did a great job on the show. It had a jungle theme and they had great costumes and I thought the preformers did so good. They were SO strong and did unbelievable stunts. I had a ton of "How did they do that" moments. I havent had a night out in a while so I enjoyed that as well.
