Preschool Program

Yesterday was Shelby's last day of preschool before summer. Her teacher's put together the cutest little program. I was about dying because I was so proud of Shelby. She was pretty much in her own little world as you can see from this short video clip but it was still cute. They had her stand in front of the class and show off all that she has learned so far. They also did some singing and dancing. I have been SO impressed with her teachers. They are AMAZING!!

I also had my sisters four kids for two nights while they are gone on vacation. It was quite the exerience running around with SIX kids... It actually went pretty good. She will be in the same position next week when she has my kids for two days. Cheryce, you are wonder woman!!

Happy Memorial Day!

The girls at the sushi table

Watch out behind you...

Future Ms. President (my neice Maddie)

I am so thankful for the BRAVE men and women that serve our country. Even with all that is going on around the nation, we enjoy so many freedoms because of people that have given the ultimate sacrifice. Thank you!!

My mom is watching Cheryce and Jeff's girls while they are on vacation so since it was rainy today we went to the Treehouse Museum in Ogden. The girls (and Keaton) had a lot of fun there running around like crazy!

Tonight we had a BBQ at my parents. We had quite the showdown on the Wii. We busted out some Guitar Hero and Mario Kart. It was my first time playing Guitar Hero but that is quite addicting. Also Mario Kart is one of my all time favorites so all around good times. I have decided me and Tucker definitely need to add a Wii to our family.

How Could I Resist!?

I walked in my kids room the other night and was filled with overwhelming love for them. Does that ever happen to any of you? I did a full on photo shoot while they were sleeping. They looked so peaceful and beautiful it just really touched my heart. The picture of Keaton reminded me of one that I took when Shelby was in the hospital. I remember the picture because I finally felt like things were going to be ok with Shelby. She had been through so much but still looked so peaceful in her sleep, snuggling her blankie.

I finally got Keaton's pictures done again. It had been a while and he has changed so much. He was a little shy at first but warmed up so we could get some good shots!

Once again we have been greatly blessed. Yesterday we had an appointment down at the Neonatal Follow-Up Clinic (The state follows premature babies from birth to age 5) At this appointment Shelby is seen by a Pediatrician, Neurologist, Nutritionist, Speech Therapist, Audiologist, Physical Therapist, psychiatrist and her Eye Dr. She has made some major progress in closing the gap from her developmental delays. They were very impressed with how she is catching up. The best news of all came when Dr. Hoffman(her eye Dr) told us that she would not be needing new glasses. Every six months since she began wearing glasses(at 10 months) she has had a major decline in eyesight, resulting in new glasses. This is a HUGE miracle to us. Her eyesight is what causes me and Tucker the most worry and anxiety then anything.

And now for a bit of fun. This website has the 1000 most popular names for the last 200 years. It breaks it down into birth year. Where does your families names fall into place?

Rachelle was #265 in 1983
Tucker was #788 in 1981
Keaton was #357 for 2007
Shelby was #117 for 2005

I guess Shelby is our most popular name. We like names that are original but not to crazy!

Keaton's First Haircut!

First of all Happy Mother's Day to all you mommies out there. (And the future one's too!) I have been blessed with the most amazing mother. She truly is an inspiration to me. She has ALWAYS been there for me. She has raised five well mannered, very smart kids....well four out of five aint bad....Can you tell who is lacking in that area? Love ya mom!

Also want to give a shout out to my Mother-In-Law. She is like a second mom to me and is always there to help us out with the kids and anything else we need. She is wonderful!

Last night Tucker gave Keaton his first haircut. It was starting to look quite frumpy. Keaton actually loved the trimmer. I held him and he held still the entire time. Even though you cant really tell a difference in the pictures, It looks so cute!

American Idol Fever

Me and my sister Cheryce did the funnest thing today. We went down to the Gateway to meet up with American Idol contestant David Archuleta. Since he made it to the top three, he got to come home and they had all these huge celebrations planned. I honestly felt like a giddy little school girl. I am not gonna lie that I was yelling with the best of them. There were thousands of people there screaming, chanting "David", swarming his limo. It was great. The funny thing was on the way down me and Cheryce were thinking it was going to be an intimate little gathering with only a few people....we were SO wrong. We actually had a really good spot. We were able to watch him sign a few autographs and talk with all the media. We ended up going by his limo about 5 minutes before he left so we were within arms distance of him. Watch for us on American Idol on Tuesday cuz we just may be on it! :)

Vegas Vacation!!

Shelby and Keaton playing at the park

Keaton and cute Reese

Keaton in his lovely hat

I just back from Vegas yesterday. I took the kids and went to visit my sister Alysia, her husband Kevin and their cute kids Ellie and Reese. It was my first time flying by myself so I was way nervous!! My mom was able to help drop me off and check my luggage and after that it was great. Security was fine and the flight down went so smooth. Coming back it was a little rough. My sister was able to help we check my bags but the kids were tired and fussy and the plane had so much turbulence. I am a nervous flyer anyway so needless to say I was a little on edge.

We had such a fun time down there. My sister has a beautiful house there. (Aside from the occasional scorpion sighting, luckily not while I was down there, I was so paranoid) You would never really even notice that you were in Vegas. You cant see the strip from there house. It was already close to 90 degrees so we had a fun time being outside swimming and playing at the park. We took the kids to Chuck-E-Cheese. The kids had fun playing on all the toys and rides. It was so nice just to visit with the fam for a few days.
