La Verkin

Shelby and Grandma at Zions

Keaton and Grandpa

Me and the rugrats

A few weeks ago, me and my parents and the kids went down to La Verkin. It was nice to get away for a long weekend. My grandma and grandpa Squire were also down there with us so it made it really nice to be able to spend some time with them. It didn't start out so good though. I got really sick in Cedar City and ended up being sick all night and most of the next day. So not fun to be sick and not in your own bed. But it was nice that my parents were there to help out. After I got over that we had a great time. It was beautiful weather and we were able to spend a lot of time outside. We took a small hike in Zion's, took some beautiful drives, did some shopping, let the kids play at the park and did some major relaxing! There is horses in the backyard so we bought a bunch of carrots and fed them. Keaton was terrified at first but he warmed up. Shelby loved them. She still is talking about feeding the horses.
Poor Keaton, can you feel his terror?
One of the horses gave Shelby the biggest kiss-It was so cute!

Hanging with Keaton

Keaton loves it when I chase him around the house. Yes, I let him play with our garbage can. Don't worry there is never any garbage in it. And yes, I let him run around in his diaper in the winter. Don't judge me! :)

Tucker and his mama

I realized I have not blogged much about Tucker's family. They are absolutely wonderful and I love them very much! Yesterday Tucker's grandpa took his entire family out to dinner for his 82nd birthday. We went to the Outback and it was a lot of fun. Afterwards we went back to Debby's and had cake and sung to grandpa. We attempted some family photos too, which are always quite entertaining. Shelby always has the greatest time playing with Tucker's cousin's daughter-Cheyenne. They ended up having a sleepover at grandma's and had a lot of fun.

Going Back

Dax and Shelby--For some reason, I love this pic

Me and the bubs

A few months ago me and my beautiful friend Jana took the kids to this gorgeous trail in Farmington. She just emailed me the pics and I love them! It would have been even prettier if we would have been there a few weeks earlier. This pic is from a few years ago when we went at peak leaf-changing season.

It's Snowing...

My 2 cuties bundled up. Don't even ask about Keaton's lovely snowpants and gloves!

Making the snowman

It's been snowing constantly the last 2 days. We have so much snow at our house and Tucker is SICK of shoveling it. I realized that we haven't let the kids play out in the snow yet so we bundled them up and went outside. It was Keaton's first ever time playing the snow and he was in love. He was in heaven walking around in it, falling in it, eating it etc. Tucker and Shelby built a pretty awesome snowman. I had them bundled up so good but Shelby has no fat on her skinny body and got cold pretty quick. So we went inside and had hot chocolate and cider by the fire.

Happy New Year!

2009. Wow! It's crazy how time just seems to go faster and faster as you get older. We went over to the Steed's for New Years Eve and just hung out there. The next day my parents were trying to get to New Orleans to watch the Utes play in the Sugar Bowl. I knew they weren't going to get on the flight's unless I was there so we left at seven in the morning to Las Vegas and then flew to New York. Once we were in New York I sent them on their way to New Orleans and I flew home. I got home just after 1 am. So basically I spent the entire day on an airplane. Crazy!
