Party #1

Ada and Shelby

This year, both of my family parties fell on the same day. The first one was for my mom's side. We had a yummy brunch with lots of good food. The kids both loved Santa.

Who knew Santa's sleigh could be found in the airport?

My brother and his family happened to be at Disneyland on the same day, so my mom flew down for the day to help them.

BFF'S Samantha and Shelby

She was laughing the whole time driving at Autopia. It was hilarious!

Small world was really cool for Christmas.

Shelby and I just got back from the funnest girls weekend. We left early Friday morning and went to California. We met Tuckers cousin, Michele and her daughter Samantha at Disneyland. Shelby was SO excited to see Samantha. She wanted to be a big girl just like her. She went on all the scary rides that terrified her last year. Her favorite ride was Thunder Mountain. I was really surprised. That night I drove down to San Diego and we stayed at Michele's house the next 2 nights. We watched Christmas movies, played games, made cookies, enjoyed the 86 degree weather! It was awesome.

Shelby's Christmas Program

Shelby is improving so much at school every year. This year, I could actually hear her singing from the audience. She is coming out of her shell more and more. I am so proud of her!

We survived the blizzard 2010.

LOL!!! I saw a facebook page that said this and it cracked me up. I loved the "blizzard." They sent Tucker and Shelby home early and we watched Christmas movies all evening. The next weekend they had so much fun playing in the snow, but mostly just eating it!

Dad and the Colonel

Where is Izzy?

Jord and Brynlee

I am so proud of my dad. After 33 years working at HAFB he has retired. He is such a hard worker and a good example to everyone! They had a really nice program for him. He has already started a new job off base so not much down time. ;)

Jetblue came through again! They rented out 5 theatres for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 the day before it opened. My whole family wanted tickets so we all ended up going. This was the group that we went with...minus Ty and Al. The movie was AMAZING!!! I can't wait until July.

Shelby's class with the first/second graders put on the cutest bug program. They had lots of fun songs and Shelby had a speaking part that she did good with. After the program they had everyone stay for breakfast. I LOVE stuff like this. So cute!

Halloween 2010

Halloween was so much fun this year! I like having 2 days to celebrate. On Saturday we went to my Brother and Sister-in-laws house to go trick or treating and celebrate Ngoc Lan's birthday. The kids had so much fun trick or treating, but were done after about 10 houses. On Sunday night was my family's famous Halloween party. Once again my family did not disappoint. Good times I tell ya!

Me and Ngoc Lan

TRICK OR TREAT! The kids would knock on the door and immediately say Trick or Treat. I had a hard time getting them to wait until someone actually answered the door!

The kids helping blow out the candles

Shelby was the cutest Zebra!

Keaton was a warm and fuzzy bear!

The famous Halloween picture! It doesn't do everyone justice, but there were AWESOME costumes this year.

Our family picture

Jordan and I had a candy corn catching duel. Jordan took the win so he is the camp champ!

Carving Pumpkins

Keaton wanted to put stickers on his pumpkin.

Shelby loved the "hair" on top of her pumpkin.

Daddy and Keaton.

Shelby begs for Ngoc Lan to paint her nails. She loves it!

We had fun this year carving pumpkins at the Steeds and at my parents house. The kids loved it this year and chose their own designs.

St Maarten/NYC

My parents took that shot of me flying into St. Maarten. Can you see me in the window?

Arriving at the airport.

Dad in the beautiful water!

Me on the beach. I can't get enough of it! I must have a home in the Caribbean some day!

Me and mom lounging in the water.

At the yummy Italian restaurant

Zip line/ropes course!

Dad on the zip line

Getting serious!

Mom did great!

The last zip line.

Whew, we made it!

Kissing in Times Square

Did some shopping in NYC!

I decided last minute to crash my parents trip to St. Maarten for a day. My goal while working with Jetblue is to go to all the Caribbean islands that they fly to, so I couldn't pass this chance up! My parents were there for a week so I flew down by myself on Wednesday night and got into St. Maarten on Thursday afternoon. My parents picked me up and we went straight to the beach. Another amazing beach. I could have spent all day there. That night we went to this tiny Italian restaurant. It was great food. We listened to some entertainment for a while, did some shopping and then went back to the hotel. The next morning we did the funnest thing. It was a ropes/zip line course. It was awesome. You had to do everything by yourself. You attach your own zip line, and all your safety straps. If you ever go to St. Maarten you must do it!! We flew out that afternoon and arrived into NY that evening. We took the Subway into the city and went to Times Square to find something for dinner. My dad really wanted to find this BBQ place called Virgils that he loved so we ate there. It was late after dinner so we went back to our hotel after that. The next morning we were SO SORE from the zip lines course. We had a hard time going down the stairs to the Subways! We just walked around Times Square until it was time to go back to the airport. It was a short trip but so worth it!
