Beginning of August

Chloe is working towards her back handsprings at Tumbling.

We celebrated Harry Potter's birthday at my parents house.  Addy was the cutest Harry Potter that I have ever seen!

Cheryce sent me this..Look how cute I was as a baby!

Keaton built this cute little block "temple."

We had a little water party with the slip n slide and the water table.

I accepted a position at Sunset Junior High.  I am really liking it.

End of July

I was so excited to come home and see my babies.  I missed them so much!

We went to Cherry Hill with my family.  We had tons of fun.

Chloe got to go with her cousin for her birthday to get a treat.

I had massive amounts of homework to catch up on after my trip.  It wasn't fun.

Keaton loves snuggling with newly shaved Seymore.

Days 8 and 9: La Spezia (Florence) and back home

Back to Italy!  I'm pretty sure that Italy will forever hold my heart.  Everything about it was so beautiful.  We booked an all day excursion to take us to Florence-which was about a 2+ hour drive from the port.
I couldn't get enough of the Italian countryside.  Stunning!

We had a guiding walking tour through the city and enjoyed all of the sites.

The Piazza del Duomo was astounding.  It was huge and so intricate.

These gold doors were beautiful that were on the Florence baptistery.

This was on the bus ride, I of course had to bring my baguette with me.

I loved the narrow roads.

This statue was pretty random.  A man riding a giant turtle.

This was a replica of David...we walked right past the museum that has the original David in it, however, we didn't want to wait in the long line.

Ponte Vecchio

Basilica of Santa Croce...We also had 3 hours to shop and tour the city on our own.  Our only goal was to find the leather market.  The tour people told us that it was shut down, however, a local said that it was still there.  We found it and I bought a beautiful mint colored purse!

The Carrara mountains, where much of the world's marble is taken from.

We got back to the boat and had a lovely last dinner.  Our view that night out our balcony was surreal.  The picture does not do it justice.
Saying goodbye to our room the next morning.  The room never felt cramped and seemed quite large, especially for a cruise ship room!
We flew from Rome to Chicago to home.  One of the best trips that I have ever taken!

Day 7: Marseille

I was super excited to be able to spend some time in France on this trip.  We were there a couple days after a terrorist attack in Nice, so we wanted to make sure that we were extra safe while we were there.
As the boat was pulling in to port, I couldn't for the life of me figure out what all of the little dots in the water were.  It took me a long time to figure out that they were boats!

We took a scenic bus tour excursion this day and saw some great things!

In front of the Palais Longchamps.

I just love how they build here.

I was super excited when we saw the Chateau D'If where the Count of Monte Cristo is based out of.  I love that movie.

Marseille was gorgeous.

We had a couple hours to shop on our own.  I really want to eat at a French bakery.  A real one...not a touristy one.  We found one and it was delicious.

I had to buy a baguette.  The boat security made me put it through the security scanner.  :)

That night we played some music trivia.  We actually played a lot of trivia while we were on the boat.  These Scottish guys always won and gave us their hats...because they had probably 20 of them!

Day 6: Mallorca

Look how beautiful Mallorca is!  Confession...we didn't actually get off the boat here.  There was so much fun things to do on the boat that we wanted to experience so we decided to do that.

Selfie in Mallorca!

We went on this ten story slide...it was so fun.

Sam and I played ping pong.

And we played basketball.

We also did the escape room.  It was so much fun!

The sunset that night (and every night) was beyond amazing!
