Well we had quite the adventure this past week. My mom and I wanted to go to Hawaii so we decided to order some standby tickets on other airlines and try to make it work. We decided last minute to leave Tuesday night to Las Vegas to try and make a connection to Honolulu there. Well we got in about 10pm and they said that we would not make the flight to Hawaii so we decided to get a hotel and try again in the morning. The next day was Shelby's birthday. We did not make the morning flight so we thought we would spend the day there and enjoy Shelby's birthday because the next flight was not until that night. We went to a park and the kids had a great time playing and we had a picnic. We got a hotel again so the kids could take a nap. That evening we went to Caesars palace and watched the statues and went to the Cheesecake factory. Shelby had a fun time for her birthday. The flight was not until 1:35 in the morning so we made our way back to the airport around 11pm. Well we did not make that flight either. :( We were done trying out of Las Vegas so we decided to go to Los Angeles at 6 in the morning. We did not want to go back to our hotel for just 2 hours so we slept at the airport. It was not fun. I think we were all pretty much over this great idea and ready to go home. Well we made it to LA and then made the first flight to Honolulu. We were trying to get to Kona but that was not happening so we just decided to stay. It ended up being wonderful. We stayed at the fabulous Hilton Hawaiian Village. It was truly amazing. Loved it! We had LOTS of fun playing at the beach and in the hotels private cove. We did some shopping and ate some yummy papaya and pineapple. It was a warm and wonderful. We came home on Sunday and for the most part had no problems except that my mom and me had to go home on different flights from LAX.. Next time we need to stay MUCH longer! The kids did SO well through all of this. It was a little stressful but we had so much fun with my mom. Thanks for being our travel buddy mom!

Could I be old enough to have a 7 year old? Couldn't be. Alas it is true. Shelby is the big 7. Life is a better place because of her. We had a small party at the Steeds and at my parents for her. She got more snakes and a few other things. Our present for her was a trip to Hawaii, but more about that later. Here are some of my favorite things about her.
-She is very sensitive to other people's emotions. If someone is sad, then she wants to help.
-She loves school and her friends.
-She ALWAYS makes me laugh.
-She plays so good with Keaton.
-She has a great laugh.
-She is very thoughtful.
-She loves to play outside and with snakes and lizards

A Wonderful Miracle!

Tis the time of year that I write about Shelby's eyes. We go to the eye Dr every 6 months and every 6 months since the time she was born her eyes have gotten worse. It's hard. I get nervous and so anxious for what the next appointment will bring. My mom watched Keaton and Chloe so I could just be able to focus on Shelby. Now this eye Dr takes a LOT of the most severe cases in Utah so we end up waiting a long time. We had to wait THREE hours but it ended up being worth it. Shelby's eyes actually got a little bit better. (2 diopters) Even the eye Dr was surprised. I literally started crying in the exam room. I am so grateful for this news and hopefully it will keep up!!

Another month, come and gone! Chloe is 7 months. She is changing so much. She sits up so well now and is usually happy sitting on the ground with some toys. She HATES getting dressed. She doesn't mind it if you can do it while she is sitting up, but if you lay her down then watch out! She loves avacados and most real food. She does ok with baby food but it's much harder to get down. She is still a good sleeper. She sleeps the whole night and then takes 3 naps a day. She is starting to get mad, if you take something from her that she likes. She grunts all the time, especially when she is eating or in the car. She gives the best big, wet, slobbery kisses. I love this girl!

She loved to touch it. Gross!!!

I can't believe that I have not wrote this post before now. Shelby is a certified snake lover. Seriously. If you listen, she will talk you ear off about snakes 24/7. She has collected quite a few snakes over the past year. She sleeps with them, takes them to school, takes baths with them etc. This year when santa asked her what she wanted she said a real snake(unfortunately a snake could not ride on Santa's cold sleigh.) A few weeks ago she got all of her cousins to play snakes with her....they were princess snakes but still. :) I love my snake-loving girl!

We had a pretty good Christmas this year. On Christmas Eve I hosted all of Tucker's family at our house. I was sad about missing my family party but we had a good time. On Christmas morning we woke the kids up at about 8:15. They were so excited to run up the stairs and see what Santa brought them. They must have been good because he brought them lots of fun stuff. We ate breakfast at the Steeds and then spent the afternoon at my parents. We played some fun games and ate lots of food! That night we had Christmas dinner at the Steeds.

Another month come and gone! Chloe is 6 months. She is getting so big...Literally! She is my chubby bubby and I love it. She is getting better with letting other people hold her but still wants me a lot of the time. She grunts all the time. It is this weird, loud grunt. She is doing pretty good at sitting up. She definitely need pillows around her but will sit up for short amounts of time. She loves to laugh at Shelby and Keaton. Sometimes they will just be talking and she will burst out laughing. So cute!! Here are her stats:

My parents annual gingerbread house party was a big success. Shelby and Keaton sat for hours decorating their houses(and eating all the candy) A few weeks later we had cookie day at the Steeds and made some yummy cookies.

I'm trying to learn photoshop.

This pretty girl is 5 months! Her new thing is having MAJOR seperation anxiety...It is really awful. She just wants to be right by me or Tucker. If a stranger at a store even looks at her she gets these big tears and cries. What in the world am I supposed to do about that?!!! I really hope this stage passes quickly. I just love her though!

A few weeks ago we went to California because our Disney annual passes were expiring. We have enjoyed the passes so much! Shelby, Chloe and I flew out on a Thursday and went straight to the park. We spent that day at California Adventures and then met Michele and Samantha at a hotel that night so we could get an early start the next day. We spent the whole day at Disney on Friday. It was a good day. It was a little rainy at times but there were no lines. I got to ride all of the big rides with Samantha so that was fun. That night we drove to San Diego and spent a few nights down there. Shelby had so much fun with Samantha and it was nice to visit with the Clarkes. It was a great trip!

I am a little late on this but my baby is 4 months! She is such joy to us.

-Sleeps 10-11 hours a night

-Close to rolling over

-Has an adorable laugh

-Loves to be a part of whatever Shelby and Keaton are doing

My work was having a conference in Orlando and I was chosen to go. I was so excited but nervous to leave Chloe so luckily my kind mom offered to go and watch Chloe while I was working. We got in to Orlando on Thursday morning and I had to go right down to my conference. That night we went to downtown Disney and had dinner and walked around. On Friday I worked in the morning and then we went to Universal Orlando and most importantly The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. It.was.perfect. I was so excited that I called Chloe, "Chosie" ...which by the way is a combination of "the chosen one" and Chloe. :) We spent most the day there. One of the best parts was the butterbeer. It was the best thing I have ever had. The rides were good too. That night we went to dinner at a yummy Italian resteraunt. The next morning I woke up early to take my mom to the airport and then spent the rest of the morning by the pool. Chloe and I left that afternoon and went from Orlando to Austin to Long Beach to Salt Lake. It was long but Chloe did not make a peep the entire time! It was lots of fun to go on a trip paid for by my work...and to get paid for going! Thanks to my mom for helping me and My mother in law for taking Shelby and Keaton while Tucker was at work...I have the best family!

Sweet baby girl is 3 months. She is so much fun. She loves to coo and talk if you talk to her. She is always trying to get her hands or blanket in her mouth. She laughed for the first time about a week ago...and then she cried because it scared her. :D She sleeps every night from 9:30-10:00pm to 7:00am. It is fantastic!! We love her SO MUCH!

When we were not at the beach we were busy having fun doing other things. We went to an Angels game. We went to some tide pools and saw starfish, crabs and other cool stuff. We went to a great farmers market. We went over to Balboa island and ate at a yummy Italian restaurant. We went to Disneyland and California Adventures. I got another kidney stone. We people watched. We rode bikes up and down the boardwalk. We played some pretty sweet games. Good times, I tell ya.

My parents got us an amazing Christmas gift last year... A week in a house right on the beach at Newport beach. Well that week finally came. It was the GREATEST week. We had so much fun with our whole family...minus Tucker, he couldn't get off work. The house was so great. It was one big house with 3 different living areas so I shared with Alysia and Kevin. A lot of our days were spent at the beach. It was perfect. The kids were so happy. Thanks mom and dad for the best vacation!!

Chloe is 2 months! She is so much fun. She still sleeps a good portion of the day but always gives smiles in the morning. The kids are doing fantastic with her. She has gotten some baby acne over the past week, so hopefully that clears up soon. She does great at holding her head up and even managed to roll over a few weeks ago. We went to the dr yesterday and here are her stats:

Today was Shelbys first day of 1st grade. Why does summer have to go so fast? She did really great until we got a few feet from her door and then had a few tears. She was fine when she saw her friends. Keaton sure missed her today. I thought Keaton and Shelby would be sick of each other by the end of summer, but that didn't happen. What a big girl she is!

-We finally went in for her 6 year old visit. Here are her stats:

We had a busy and fun last week of summer. Tuckers cousins were here from California so we kept busy. We went to breakfast at the Cracker Barrel, bowling, Shelby had her first sleepover, took frontrunner to gateway, went to the splash park, went to Applebees, went to Park City and went shopping and ate at Baja. It was a great week!

They blessed her on the same day, so it worked out well for the Whitesides to be able to go to both blessings and go next door for all the yummy food!

Yesterday my dad gave Chloe a blessing in our ward. She looked so beautiful in her dress(Thanks Morgan!) and we had lots of yummy food after. It's hard to believe that she is 6 weeks old. Here are some things about her at 6 weeks:

-Has had a great week of sleeping at night. She has slept from 10pm-4 or 5am every night....Love this.

-Gas drops have become a staple for her.

-Keaton is OBSESSED with her. He always wants to know where she is, when he can hold her, wants to touch her all the time...etc. He is so sweet.

-Has mostly grown out of her newborn clothes and wears her 0-3 month clothes.

-Likes the sound of the shower and vacuum.

-Gets fussy in the evenings.

-Always tries to eat her hands

-Loves her baths. She literally smiles almost everytime that I put her in the water!

-She makes me so happy. I love her so much.

On the 25th of July my mom was so nice and took me and the kids to the Seven Peaks in Salt Lake. They all have season passes so they go quite often. I have not been there in years and we had so much fun. Jordan, Morgan and their family and Ty, Al and their family came too. Shelby loved going down the big slide on the tubes. Keaton wouldn't go down any slides but he had fun just playing in the water. Thanks mom for an awesome day!

Keaton turned 4 last week. He seems so big now that we have a baby in the house. Keaton is still so sweet and sensitive. Debby was so nice and planned his whole birthday party. She made a yummy taco bar and we had lots of fun. Here are some things about Keaton:

My wonderful mother-in-law is always so nice and takes us to Harmons Lagoon day every year. They have all you can eat cotton candy, watermelon, ice cream, chips and drinks. It's awesome! Shelby is getting so brave and wants to go on all the bigger rides, while Keaton is still very nervous. Shelby's favorite is the tidal wave. She gets this amazing belly laugh that you can't help but laugh along with her. We had lots of fun. Thanks Debby!

-She weighs 7lbs 4oz now. (12th percentile) That is a pound in 3 weeks!

I love the 4th! I love the fireworks, the patriotic songs, the parades. I love it all! We live in a great country. We had a great day. We started out at the Clearfield parade and then went to breakfast after. That evening we went to Tuckers aunt's house and let the kids swim, had a BBQ and watched fireworks. So much fun!

Chloe is here! I had a C-Section scheduled for Tuesday, June 21st at 7:30 am. We had to get to the hospital by six so they could get everything ready. I was a nervous wreck! As soon as they put my spinal in and I couldn't feel my legs, I started to freak out. I told Tucker that I was going to scream. :D I put my ipod on and then I started to calm down. I was so excited when they said that she was almost here. She came out screaming and they let me sneak a peek at her before they started working on her. Chloe was born at 8:30 am. 6lb 5oz, 19.5 inches long. She has so much hair and is so darn sweet. My mom and dad brought the kids down that evening to meet her. Shelby was excited and held her. Keaton did not want to get close to her at all. Our hospital stay went really well and we got to come home on Friday. So far things have been going really well. I have had lots of help and that makes things a lot better. The kids adore her and love to help me. Keaton finally held her today and said how much he loves her. We are so grateful for the new addition to our family.

She has really matured emotionally and academically. She learned how to read, write, add, subtract and much more. It makes me so happy to watch her do these things. She will be staying at the USDB for another year and then in 2nd grade we plan to transition to a different school.

I am trying to take advantage of our Disney passes before the baby comes, so I convinced my mom to come with me for the day and take the kids to Disneyland. On Monday, I got the kids up at 4:30 and we went to the airport to catch the early flight. Once we got to Long Beach, we rented a car and went straight to Disneyland. We got there right when they opened so it was perfect. We spent the morning at California Adventures and the afternoon at Disneyland. The only line we really had to wait much on was Nemo and the train. It was a great day to go. The kids were AMAZING and it was so fun to have my mom there. Our flight home was at 8:00 that night so as soon as we boarded, both the kids fell asleep. We didn't get home until a little after midnight. I was so SORE the next day, but it was all worth it!

Getting kidney stones. Seriously, don't do it! Last Monday I woke up and my kidney area started hurting a little. About an hour later I started throwing up and then the pain hit SO hard. I could not even form sentences. I texted Alysia to come take me to the ER and she dropped off her kids at Cheryces and came to my house. I almost called 911 five times before my sister got here, but I was able to control myself. The drive to the ER was so long. We finally got there and they took me right back to the room. They were giving me dose after dose of morphine and dilaudid but it still did not touch the pain. They admitted me to the maternity floor with a pain pump and the pain FINALLY got better. My family was amazing. They all helped so much. I love them. I ended up passing a stone that night and they sent me home the next night. I still have a kidney stone in my kidney but they can't take care of it until after I have the baby. I am hoping and praying that it doesn't come down before then. I CANNOT go through that pain again!

I broke my foot on Monday. No, it wasn't a great story. I tripped. Bad. It was awkward. I was running out to get Shelby off the bus and I just fell right in front of the bus driver. :D I hobbled back inside and I knew that something was wrong. It is the worst timing! I need to be unpacking our house, but I guess it will get done eventually. Last night I told Tucker to come look at my sausage foot, (because it is so tight and swollen) and now Keaton won't stop saying sausage foot. He laughs and says it over and over again. Hopefully it heals quickly!

6 years ago this week, my sweet little Shelby came into this world. I am going to write about her birth story since I never really wrote it down.

On February 1st 2005, I was working the night shift on the maternity floor at LDS hospital. I was working with my BFF Jana and we were taking our blood pressures like we always do. Mine was around 195-110. I was really surprised since my BP is usually always low. I had the resident come over and she took it and told me to go to Labor and Delivery. My Dr came in the morning and told me they were admitting me. I had to be pushed back over in a bed to my work. It was embarrassing because I felt fine.

Over the next week I was on bed rest and my blood pressure stayed higher then normal but not horrible. On the night of February 7th, things started to go south. My blood pressure spiked really high and would not go down even with medication. I had a horrible headache. They did labs and diagnosed me with HELLP syndrome. They were taking my blood pressure every 15 minutes and for the first time since I had been admitted I was scared. In the week that I had been in the hospital I hadn't really given thought that I might actually deliver early. In my naive ways, I thought that everything would be fine. I called my mom at 5:00 in the morning on the 8th and told her that they planned to deliver me via C-section that morning. I remember being so scared to call her because that made it real. She said that they would not be delivering me and that she was on her way right then. However, when she got to the hospital and saw the condition that I was in, she knew that it had to be done. I tried calling Tucker over and over again but I could not get him to answer. I finally called his mom to go wake him and bring him down. She had to bang on the window with a rake before he finally woke up. Once he got there they started the C-section. I felt so claustrophobic and scared during the surgery. Shelby did not cry when they took her out. My mom was able to hand her over to the NICU personnel so they could start working on her. After I was stitched up they wheeled me over in my bed to the NICU to see Shelby. She was so small. I couldn't see her for the next 24 hours because I was on a medication that I had to stay in bed for. The next few days I spent as much time in the NICU as I could with her. It was so hard to leave the hospital without her. I'm so proud of my sweet girl and how big of a fighter she is!

Last week we went to California for Shelby's birthday. It was so great, because Tucker was able to get off work so we could all go. We flew out on Wednesday morning and checked into our hotel in Anaheim. We just hung out around the hotel that night and went to Red Robin for dinner. The next day we spent the day at Newport Beach. This is what Shelby had been wanting to do for so long. The kids both had so much fun. We packed food and the kids ran around and walked in the water. It was such a good day. On Friday I had Tucker drop off me and Shelby at Disneyland for a few hours. We went over to California adventures and spent most of the time over there. Shelby loved the Ferris wheel and Soaring over California. We had to go over to Disneyland too so we could do Small world and Pirates of the Caribbean. Tucker picked us up that afternoon and we drove down to San Diego. We had to stop at Vista point on the way down so the kids could feed the chipmunks. That is one of their favorite things. We stayed with Tucker's cousins on Friday night. We love to see them. Saturday morning, Samantha had a tennis tournament that we wanted to watch before we left. I'm glad we did, because she is getting so good! We drove up to Long Beach that afternoon and checked into our hotel and then drove to Redondo Beach and ate outside at the Cheesecake factory. It was beautiful. The restaurant is right on the water and Keaton loved watching the boats. Sunday morning we flew home. I'm already ready for our next trip! My Dr says that I can't travel after I hit 24 weeks, so I really need to get it out of my system!

Keaton had a singing program at school last month. I was sitting in the auditorium before the kids came in and I hear a hysterical cry that sounded unfortunately similar to Keaton's. I decided to sit there and see if it would go away, but alas it did not. He walked in so sad and would not stop crying for the first 2 songs. It was embarrassing. After the 2 songs, he just sat there and made a frowny face. Of course when it was over, he jumped up with a smile and ran and got a cookie. Silly boy.

Baby. And it's a girl!!! I was very surprised to find out it's a girl. I really thought I was having a boy. I don't know why. We only make girls in this family. :) We are so excited and can't wait to meet our baby in June!

We have all had a bit of a rough week. Keaton got sick on Saturday, but got over it pretty quick. Shelby got sick on Sunday with a fever and cough . By Tuesday evening her fever had jumped to 104.4 so I took her into the Instacare. They told us she had croup and to ride it out. She still has a fever though. :/ It's been almost a week. On Wednesday night I had this unbearable pain in my neck and I couldn't move it. I went to the ER and they did a spinal tap, x-rays and some lab work. Everything came back fine and they sent me home with some pain meds. The whole time I have been sick, Shelby has been so sweet and caring. She will tickle my back, bring me tissues, drinks without me asking. She will also come up and snuggle with me and tell Keaton that she needs to stay with me. She is such a sweet girl!

We had a really great Christmas this past year. Each year, it just gets better and better with the kids. They are so much fun to be around. We had our traditional candlelight dinner on Christmas Eve at my parents. I love that tradition! Then we played a game and opened some presents. Later that night we went to Tucker's aunts house for their Christmas Eve party. Lots of good food! Christmas morning was so much fun. The kids slept in until 8:30. Mom and Dad came downstairs so they could watch the kids come in to see their presents that Santa left them. Santa sure spoiled them this year. They must have been really good! After presents we went to the Steeds where Debby makes the most amazing breakfast. We are so lucky to live next to both of our families. Christmas was so much fun. I always get the blues after it is over.

Party #2 was awesome. Everyone brings soup so their are a bunch of different kinds to try. My aunt brings my very favorite soup in the world though, so that is all I eat. After a great dinner they have a little program. Shelby wanted to go up and sing with Ada so I let her go up there. She got stage fright when she got up there so she left Ada flying solo. The funniest thing happened after that though. As soon as Ada was done, Keaton goes up and grabs the microphone and out of no where starts singing Jingle Bells. I was laughing so hard, that I was crying. I wish that I would have had my video recorder. It was so cute!

I was really surprised. That night I drove down to San Diego and we stayed at Michele's house the next 2 nights. We watched Christmas movies, played games, made cookies, enjoyed the 86 degree weather! It was awesome.

Halloween was so much fun this year! I like having 2 days to celebrate. On Saturday we went to my Brother and Sister-in-laws house to go trick or treating and celebrate Ngoc Lan's birthday. The kids had so much fun trick or treating, but were done after about 10 houses. On Sunday night was my family's famous Halloween party. Once again my family did not disappoint. Good times I tell ya!

I decided last minute to crash my parents trip to St. Maarten for a day. My goal while working with Jetblue is to go to all the Caribbean islands that they fly to, so I couldn't pass this chance up! My parents were there for a week so I flew down by myself on Wednesday night and got into St. Maarten on Thursday afternoon. My parents picked me up and we went straight to the beach. Another amazing beach. I could have spent all day there. That night we went to this tiny Italian restaurant. It was great food. We listened to some entertainment for a while, did some shopping and then went back to the hotel. The next morning we did the funnest thing. It was a ropes/zip line course. It was awesome. You had to do everything by yourself. You attach your own zip line, and all your safety straps. If you ever go to St. Maarten you must do it!! We flew out that afternoon and arrived into NY that evening. We took the Subway into the city and went to Times Square to find something for dinner. My dad really wanted to find this BBQ place called Virgils that he loved so we ate there. It was late after dinner so we went back to our hotel after that. The next morning we were SO SORE from the zip lines course. We had a hard time going down the stairs to the Subways! We just walked around Times Square until it was time to go back to the airport. It was a short trip but so worth it!

This was today, the 2nd day of school. He was so excited to wear his rain jacket and go back to school.

Keaton started preschool this week. He loves it! I was worried about how he would do(or was it how I would do?), but he went right in and sat down and said bye. It is so weird to be alone for a few hours twice a week. I miss both of my school kids!

On a side note, Keaton had his 3 year old well check appt. yesterday. He weighs 28.8lbs (16th percentile) and is 36.9 inches tall(18th percentile). His height dropped from the 77th% to the 18th% in a year, so that was a little strange. He is a healthy 3 year old!

My parents were so nice and took me to Lion King for my birthday. They also took all the grandkids over 5 so Shelby got to come too. We went to dinner before at the Olive Garden and then over to Capital Theatre. The show was AWESOME! They did such a good job. At one point in the show, the hyenas come into the crowd and one picked Shelby to come behind her and scare. It was good stuff. Thanks mom and dad!!!

Crickey. I have been dreading this day for years. The day that Shelby starts Kindergarten. She did pretty good. I took her in yesterday morning, we got within 5 feet of her door and she started crying. She walked inside and gave her teacher a big hug and I left. I cried on the way home. It's just so official, she's growing up. I miss her. She came home on the bus and thankfully there is a new bus driver this year. He is really nice and makes Shelby feel comfortable so she was happy. I sent her on the bus this morning and she happily waved goodbye. I really hope she has a great year!

Just so you know, Jamaicans really do say Man after everything they say. I was lucky enough to spend my birthday in Jamaica this year. It was beautiful and so much fun. We stayed at the Sandals Grande Ocho Rios and it was unreal! We flew into Montego Bay and took a terrifying 90 minute drive to our resort. They put us in a beautiful room that had a private pool with 2 other rooms. Lucky for us the other 2 rooms were empty while we were there. There was so much to do there. We lounged in the pool, played basketball, darts, ping-pong, checkers, pool and shuffleboard. There was lots of fun entertainment every night. On my birthday we hiked these amazing falls called Dunn's River Falls. That was one of my favorite things we did the entire time. You start at the beach and then you climb 900 feet in the falls. The pictures tell the best story, so here they are!

Summer-time at the Squire house, means every other Sunday all the cute grandkids play outside and ride down the hill on their bikes. They get going so fast, it makes me so nervous! They ride down over and over for hours!!

I am so happy. Shelby had her eye appointment last week and her vision has stayed the same!!! She won't need new glasses for at least another 6 months! Also her eye Dr. has decided that it is time to put her in contacts. He thinks it will help her eyes, and help her see better. Won't that be weird to see Shelby without her glasses? There is only one Dr. in the state that her Opthamologist wanted her to see to fit her for contacts, so it won't be until the end of September.

Say Whaaa??? Yes, it's true. My baby boy is three! We had the funnest birthday party for Keaton. I love to plan parties. We had the party at Tucker's parents this year. It was a Car's theme. We had pinewood derby cars to paint, candy cars to eat and the greatest part of all...a snow cone machine. It was divine!

Some facts about Keaton:

He is a huge snuggler. He loves to gives hugs, kisses and just curl up next to you on the couch.
His favorite color is orange. He says it so cute! Ask him to say it for you sometime.
He is a peacemaker. He still will say he wants the opposite of what you say. He always lets Shelby take first pick and he shares so good.
He loves soccer, t-ball and catch, but he also loves purple high heels, purses and earrings.
He finally sleeps in a big boy bed. He never once tried to get out of his crib and we didn't need to crib for another baby so we left him in it until he was three and then got him a big boy bed. He never tries to get out of that either. He is a champ!
He loves to sing in the car.
His favorite food is macaroni and cheese

Last week the whole Steed family went to Las Vegas. I decided last minute that I was going to go down with them so I drove down on Tuesday with the kids and surprised them. When we checked in at the Planet Hollywood towers, they gave us the sweetest room upgrade. He put us on the 2nd to top floor in this awesome suite. We hung out at the pool most of the day on Wednesday and then went to a yummy Italian place called Batistas. That night we walked around the strip and watched the fountains at Bellagio. Thursday morning we went to breakfast and then I packed up the kids and we headed home. I borrowed my mom's car to drive down and the check engine light had came on when I almost reached Vegas. We thought it was probably just the gas cap not on tight, but as soon as I left Vegas it started overheating. I made it to St. George with no air-conditioning on and stopped at a shop. He said that someone had put the wrong transmission fluid in her car. They thought I would make it home, but I shouldn't use A.C. It was death. The temperature was at least 108. A few hours out of St. George, Keaton got heat stoke and started throwing up. The poor guy was bright red and dripping sweat. I made it to a town with one gas station, stripped him down, squirted him with water and let him cool down. Scary. He recovered pretty quickly and we made it home after a bunch of cool down stops. I was so glad to be home!!

Debby was so sweet to take us to her work Lagoon day again this year. This time, Shelby wanted to go on everything! She was so brave. It was so fun to go on some of the bigger rides with her. Keaton loved to ride all the little rides with Shelby.

It's time for me to play catch-up from all of our July fun. We had a great time celebrating the fourth. We went to the parade in Clearfield then after went to our traditional breakfast. That afternoon we went over to Tuckers aunt's house for swimming and BBQ. We watched the Clearfield fireworks that night. I love the 4th!!

My parents rented a beautiful cabin at Bear Lake for 4 nights over the 4th of July weekend. Me, Tuck and the kids could only stay one night, because I worked the rest of the weekend but it was awesome! We went up Thursday afternoon and played tetherball(6 grade champ lives on), basketball, ping-pong, Cards and Wii. It was so much fun to have the whole family up there and play with everyone. Friday morning we went boating. It was too windy for the boat but the beach was great. The kids loved the water. Thanks mom and dad for the awesome time! Can't wait to do it again. :)

Yesterday was Jetblue's 10th anniversary party. They rented out park city mountain resort and EVERYTHING was free. All the rides, food, snow cones, dippin dots, bounce houses, face painting, booths...FREE!!! We took the kids up right when they opened and went on the Alpine slide and the Coaster. The kids loved it and wanted to go faster! Then we let them ride all the kiddie rides and do a few bouncers before we had a yummy lunch. After that we took the kids to grandma's and me and Tucker came back up and rode the zip line. We had so much fun, hopefully Jetblue will have a party like this again soon!

We finally had some nice summer weather...so what do we do? BOATING! I was so ready to head up to the lake. It was so great to finally soak up some sun!! Shelby loved the beach and Keaton loved the boat!

Yesterday was mine and Tucker's anniversary. I can't believe that it has been 6 years since we got married. I still remember it very well. We both have never been to the Melting Pot, so we went there for dinner. It was delicious!! Everything was really good. After that we went to the movie Date Night. It was nice to have a night out! Happy Anniversary baby, I love you!
